A joint venture with Geddes Architects, this multi-million pound project consists of 50 separate apartments and a surrounding public realm in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. We regenerated an old site overlooking the river in a prominent location, creating new housing of one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments alongside onsite parking at ground-level. As the site could be viewed easily from the surrounding neighborhoods, our design team had to be careful not to infringe too much upon the view of those nearby, focusing on aspects such as height and local architecture to help our building blend in easily with its surroundings. At the same time, we also wanted to create a unique, contemporary apartment block that made a statement, and so had to find a balance between the two. The result is a modern design that brings a fresh look to the local community whilst blending seamlessly with its surroundings, and provides new, quality housing for the town.
