About McLundie Architects
The principal, Colin McLundie, is uniquely both a Spanish and British qualified architect, being one of the first foreign Architects in Spain to achieve dual title in 1990 and has over 25 years experience in the British, European, Middle Eastern and Canadian markets.
The members of the practice are bi-lingual and have a strong grounding in commercial and residential architecture, coupled with a keen awareness of the importance of time and cost constraints. Highly developed design skills and a broad range of experience in a wide variety of project types, means that we can offer quick and effective solutions to building and design problems in both new build and refurbishment situations.
Launched in 1992, the practice of McLundie Architects has since become recognised as the best niche design practice for high quality residential projects in the area. To date, we have completed over 250 million Euros of residential construction for both private clients and developers alike, with a local and international client base.
High quality design and its execution forms the basis of our philosophy and we treat each individual project as a set of unique challenges and opportunities to advance and improve our skills and the results that we can achieve.
Currently McLundie Architects are lead consultants for Arcos Gardens, a 100 million euro golf resort near Arcos de la Frontera. The project includes an 18 hole golf course, clubhouse, 100 bed hotel, two condominium pueblos and three hundred individual villas. This is being implemented now, with the golf course having opened in Easter 2006 and some 100 units now built.
In 2007, we became active in Abu Dhabi where we form part of GHM Design Limited; Architects for a new town community of 80,000 people with a total construction value of 1.2 billion pounds, due for completion in 2013.
More recently, inroads have been made into Nigeria where a number of design projects have been undertaken in Abuja.
